Sydney is originally from Newport News, Virginia, where she grew up training at Ballet Virginia while spending many summers at Carolina Ballet’s summer intensive. Prior to high school, she joined Ballet Virginia’s professional company under the direction of Lydia Robert’s-Coco as a company member, where she performed many principal and soloist roles including Dream Clara in The Nutcracker.
