LUCIA LORENZO

Lucia Lorenzo began dancing at the local YMCA at age three. Her training consists of Rochester City Ballet’s Draper Center for Dance Education and San Francisco Ballet School, where she performed works by Helgi Tomasson and George Balanchine. In 2018, she joined Ballet Austin, working with choreographers including Jennifer Archibald, Jennifer Hart, Stephen Mills, and Jimmy Orrante. In 2022, she joined De La Dance Company, where she performed principal roles in full-length classics and mixed repertory for two seasons. Following that, Lucia returned to the Bay Area and joined Oakland Ballet, where she worked with Phil Chan, Elaine Kudo, Graham Lustig, and Wei Wang. Lucia joined Boulder Ballet in 2025. She had the opportunity to work with Val Caniparoli, Jorma Elo, Nicolo Fonte, Stephanie Martinez, and Amy Seiwert. Her performance of Caniparoli’s Double Stop was recognized in Pointe Magazine’s “Standout Performances of 2025: Readers’ Choice.” Lucia has also appeared with Heather Maloy’s Terpsicorps Theatre of Dance and National Choreographers Initiative: The Last Dance, where she worked with Dayoung Jung and Emily Adams. Her experiences dancing in numerous communities across the country continue to shape her interest in collaborative processes, adaptability, and exploring new approaches to movement and creation.
