Boulder Ballet Adult Drop-In ClasseS
All students must be registered to attend a drop in class.
Adults can sign up for a free trial class online. We offer ballet classes in all levels, as well as contemporary/jazz and tap.
To schedule a free trial class:
Create a Studio Pro account
Menu > Register for Classes
Choose the current "Adult Drop-In” class tab
Locate the class you wish to attend and click on the words "Schedule Trial," listed under the class name. Once you've selected a trial class, scroll to the end of that class description and use the dropdown field to select the specific date you'd like to try class.
Note: If you do not click "Schedule Trial," the system will try to charge you for the class.

Boulder Ballet’s adult drop-in classes are a welcoming environment that allows adults to experience an enjoyable form of exercise at any point in life and for any level of dance skills. New students are welcome to enjoy a free introduction class at our school. If you want to set up a free class or have any questions please email info@boulderballet.org.
Drop-in classes are offered for dancers ages 14 through adult. Payment is by the class or multiple class card. All punch cards and registration for classes can be done through our portal.
To purchase a drop-in class, click register, shop and choose the single class option, or a class card from the drop down menu.
Boulder Ballet is located in the Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut Street. Please enter through the rear, west side doors. All other doors may be locked.
Boulder Ballet Dance + WellSpace is located on 1810 30th Street. Parking is available and entrance is through the main doors.

Class Info

Intended for dancers with little or no previous experience, this class introduces the fundamentals of ballet technique and vocabulary in a welcoming environment. No experience is necessary.

Intended for dancers of all abilities and levels for ongoing training in a slower-paced environment. This class progressively builds foundational ballet technique that expands throughout the season. All levels welcome - new dancers, dancers with some experience, and experienced dancers getting back into training.

Intended for dancers who feel comfortable in the beginning class and are ready to work at a somewhat faster pace. This class incorporates longer combinations and focuses on increased strength, coordination, and dynamic range. New and more advanced steps and enchaînments are introduced, building technical understanding over the season.

intended for dancers with a solid understanding of barre and center vocabulary, including jumps, adagio, turns, and traveling combinations. This class moves at a faster pace with more challenging sequences. Instructors may not break down all combinations. Moderate level of experience / at least three years of ballet training advised.

Intended for dancers with technical proficiency or mastery and the ability to learn combinations quickly and with ease. This professionally paced class is an excellent environment to expand artistry and technical skills.

Boulder Ballet will be offering an adult pointe class as part of our adult drop in class offerings. This class will be taught by Ana Claire.
This class is designed for experienced dancers and those who have been en pointe for at least one year. Ana will modify the exercises for varying strengths.

Learn tap dance fundamentals in our welcoming adult beginner tap class at Boulder Ballet. Whether you're a complete beginner or returning to tap after time away, this class is designed to build your technique from the ground up.
In this class, you'll develop:
Strong tap dance technique and foundational skills
Fundamental tap vocabulary and steps
Rhythm and musicality
Dance combinations that progress your abilities
Our adult tap classes welcome all levels - no prior dance experience required. Join us to discover the joy of tap dance in a supportive, adult-friendly environment.

This Beginning/Intermediate Contemporary & Jazz class invites dancers to build a strong technical foundation while developing confidence, creativity, and individual artistry. In a supportive and energetic environment, students will strengthen musicality, coordination, and dynamic movement quality while learning to move with intention through changes in direction, rhythm, and dynamics.
Class will incorporate technical exercises, across-the-floor progressions, and choreography, giving dancers opportunities to refine their jazz and contemporary technique while exploring their own movement style. Whether newer to these styles or looking to strengthen an existing foundation, dancers will be encouraged to challenge themselves, grow, and have fun!

Deepen your craft this summer with Boulder Ballet School's adult intensive and workshops.
Dress Code
Dancers are encouraged to wear non-restrictive clothes they feel comfortable moving in that allow the instructor to see alignment and form for safety. Fitted clothes, including dance or workout clothing, are most suitable. Ballet shoes are recommended, but not required. Instead of ballet shoes, please dance in bare feet (no socks, please). Labeled water bottles are highly suggested.
Pet policy
Animals, except those to aid patrons with disabilities, are not permitted in the Dairy or Boulder Ballet Studios and cannot be left unattended on the property. Due to the risk of damage to the Marley dance floor, any service animal must remain leashed and in a carrier, dog bed, or on a blanket.
