SUMMER WORKSHOPS & INTENSIVES

BOULDER BALLET STUDIOS  ·  THE DAIRY ARTS CENTER

Deepen your craft this summer with Boulder Ballet's intensive workshops — from classical repertoire for young dancers to adult intensives and a Saturday workshop series for ages 14 and up.

Classical Story Ballet Intensive

Step inside the world of classical ballet this summer! Join Boulder Ballet company dancer Marian Faustino for an immersive week-long intensive exploring the art, history, and magic of story ballet. Each day, dancers will build a strong technical foundation through ballet technique and foot strengthening, then dive deep into the storytelling elements that make classical ballet so captivating — from characters and costumes to music, pantomime, and sets. Dancers will also learn an adapted corps de ballet repertoire section to perform at an informal showing for family and friends on the final day.

Contemporary Workshop

Trinity England is a contemporary dance artist from New York whose work explores the intersection of rigor, vulnerability, and collaboration. With early training at Ballet Long Island, Joffrey Ballet School, and Ballet Hispánico, she developed a strong technical foundation that continues to inform her evolving, inquiry-based practice. She earned her BFA in Dance, magna cum laude, from the University of the Arts in 2022.

During her time at the University of the Arts, Trinity performed in works by Doug Varone, Sara Shelton Mann, Tommie-Waheed Evans, Jesse Zaritt, Sidra Bell, Montay Romero, and Shayla-Vie Jenkins, deepening her engagement with contemporary, improvisational, and process-driven work. She went on to perform professionally with Stewart/Owen Dance from 2022–2023, where she further developed her interest in collaboration and shared authorship.

Trinity is also an educator, currently teaching at The Hideout and offering master classes with The P(Art) Project, run by Kelly Demelio. Her teaching focuses on contemporary movement, improvisation, and embodied awareness, encouraging dancers to cultivate curiosity, risk-taking, and an authentic connection to their movement.

Boulder Ballet Company Rep Workshop

June 20 •  Ages 14 to 22 •  Gianna Forte & Marian Faustino, Company Dancers

In this immersive day of training and rehearsal, dancers will take technique class and learn excerpts from two pieces of repertory recently performed by Boulder Ballet. Participants will have the unique opportunity to work directly with Gianna and Marian, gaining insight into the choreographers who created these works and the rehearsal process behind them.

This workshop offers dancers a rare chance to experience company repertory from the inside—learning not only the movement, but also the artistic intention and performance quality that bring the works to life.

*Pointe shoes only allowed for BSS level 6/7 or professional dancers. All other questions please email andrea@boulderballet.org.
