Kelly Moeller Rabe

Born in Richland, Washington, Kelly Moeller Rabe began her dance training at Tri-Cities Academy of Ballet under the direction of Debra Rogo. Kelly earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona School of Dance. Highlight performances included principal roles in George Balanchine's RubiesAllegro BrillianteThe Four Temperaments, and the CHICAGO Suite set by Ann Reinking and Gary Chryst, as well as Arizona Theater Company's The Great Gatsby and Arizona Opera's Abduction from the Seraglio. Kelly joined Rochester City Ballet and performed works by George Balanchine, Jamey Leverett, Timothy Draper, Jimmy Orrante, David Palmer, Yanis Pikieris, and Mark Diamond. While in Rochester, she spearheaded RCB’s outreach program providing ballet education to students from underrepresented backgrounds through the after-school program Quad A for Kids. Kelly and her husband, Ben, became the ballet faculty of Foothills Dance Conservatory as well as Artist in Residence and Choreographer for Foothills Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Seneca, South Carolina in 2020. In 2021, she performed with Ballet Des Moines in Tom Mattingly’s new production of The Nutcracker. Kelly then danced with Newport Contemporary Ballet (previously Island Moving Company) in Newport, Rhode Island. Highlight performances included works by Amy Hall Garner, Takehiro Euyama, Kristopher Estes-Brown, Yoshito Sakuraba, Joshua Peugh, Tania Pérez-Salas, Colin Connor, Tristian Griffin, Miki Ohlsen, and Danielle Genest, as well as the pas de deux from Gerald Arpino’s Light Rain. While in Newport, Kelly taught for The Academy at Newport Contemporary Ballet, Kelley Ann Dance Center, Dance Expressions, and NCB’s New Dancer outreach program providing ballet education to rural communities in RI. Since moving to Boulder, Kelly dances for Reverie Dance Company in Denver, and teaches for Dance Dimensions, Centennial State Ballet, and for Boulder Ballet’s outreach program.
