affiliated with Boulder Ballet. Dancers have been utilizing Pilates for
cross training and injury rehabilitation since the 1920's. Some of the many
benefits of Pilates include muscle balance, core strength, improved
flexibilty, increased strength and injury prevention.
Our services at Body Dynamics include Pilates, Pilates reformer and Pilates
mat classes, personal training, fitness classes, private yoga, physical
therapy and massage.

GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and addresses the needs of dancers, emphasizing injury prevention and minimizing the effects of overworking muscles, as well as balancing repetitive stress syndromes. The
GYROTONIC® methodology was developed by Juliu Horvath, a former dancer, and speaks the language of dance. The system extracts principles from dance, yoga, swimming, and tai’chi. Thea Posch is a 1995 graduate of the Colorado School of Healing Arts. Thea is nationally certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork, a Cranial Sacral practitioner, and holds a degree in sports and medical massage. Her specialty is neuromuscular therapy and myofascial release. Her work draws influence from a variety of skills and modalities to create a massage that can be very specific, technical and thorough, yet has flow to give it an intuitive and energetic quality.
Originally from New York, Thea’s background includes dancing with New York Contemporary Ballet for 4 seasons before moving to Boulder in 1988 where she performed with local dance companies and taught ballet for 7 years. She has had extensive training in Pilates and is presently working on her yoga teacher training certificate. A current student of Boulder Ballet, Thea understands the dancer’s body and the unique needs it possess.
