Master Teachers Hernan Justo and Anita Sun Pacylowski-Justo (Levels 4A through 7/Adult)

Hernan Justo participated in performance and galas with many of the most prestigious dancers in the world such as Maximiliano Guerra (Scala de Milano), Julio Bocca (American Ballet Theatre), Maya Plisetskaya (Bolshoi Ballet), Jorge Ezquivel (National Ballet Cuba - San Francisco Ballet), Nikolaj Hübbe (New York City Ballet - Royal Danish Ballet, Artistic director), Dagmar Moradillo (National ballet of Cuba), Cecilia Kerche (Ballet of Rio de Janeiro), Carlos Acosta (Royal Ballet), Jose Martinez (Opera de Paris), Marcelo Gomes (American Ballet Theatre), Vladimir Vassilev (Bolshoi Ballet), Ekaterina Maximova (Bolshoi Ballet ), Patrick Dupond (Opera de Paris), and Larissa Ponomarenko (Boston Ballet). Upon retirement from the ballet stage In 2000 he was invited to become Artistic Director of the Carolina Ballet Theatre (CBT) by its founder Barbara Selvy. Justo is also a permanent guest teacher in several schools and ballet companies around the country. Mr Justo and his wife Anita Sun Pacylowski are owners and the master teachers of the DanceArts Greenville.


Anita Sun Pacylowski-Justo has, throughout her career, received many prestigious honors and awards: Presidential Scholar in the Arts, Princess Grace Award and the Nancy Reagan Award for Dance, honoring the best dancers in the country. She also competed in and was selected as a finalist in both the New York International Ballet Competition and the Prix de Lausanne. In 2002, Anita graced the cover of Dance Magazine's 75th Anniversary issue of "This Year's 25 to Watch". Most recently, Anita was named as one of six Benois de la Danse nominees. This is one of the most acclaimed international dance awards. Of the six female dancers selected, Anita was the only one chosen from the United States. Her leading roles in major classical ballets and contemporary repertoire include Coppelia, Swan Lake, Giselle, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Threshold by Jacqulyn Buglisi, Before Nightfall by Nils Christi, Rite of Spring by Salvatore Aiello, In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated by William Forsythe, Unknown Territory by Choo San Goh, Rodeo by Agnes de Mille, Feast of Ashes by Alvin Ailey, Company B and Esplanade by Paul Taylor, and MAP, Chants and Cante by Alonzo King.
Private Classes:

Available from a variety of teachers. Interested students should contact the teacher directly, or call the office to be referred to an appropriate teacher. Fees vary.
Adult Drop-in Classes:

May 30 through August 20

No classes on July 4

Drop-in classes are offered for dancers ages 12 through adult. No pre-registration is required. Payment is by the class or multiple class punch card. You can purchase your card at the office, or in the studio with cash or check.
